SUBMISSIONS HAVE CLOSED
WHAT IT IS
Teachers, Students, Parents, and Friends – WebMD TV has an exciting challenge for you! Gather your friends and create a video to cheer up a patient, teach someone about the body, or share a story about your community. The more creative you get, the better! Also, we don’t charge for submissions.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Individuals or groups of collaborators (teachers, parents, family members, after-school clubs, childhood and youth organizations), submitting one or more videos featuring children and youth 18 years and younger.
WHAT IS WEBMD TV
WebMD is one of the most recognized and trusted brands of health information serving consumers, physicians, and healthcare professionals. WebMD TV is a television channel that reaches patients in hospitals in over 1,500 health establishments nationwide. The patients tune in to watch our programs during the most critical moments of their lives when they need moral support, education about ongoing care, and positive distraction. Most of our existing programming is focused on post-procedure care and health education, but we’re opening doors for more entertaining and engaging videos which is where you come in! We hope to see your and your kids’ creativity and art intertwine with the relevant topics for patients.
WHAT TO SUBMIT
TOPICS TO CONSIDER. To participate in the competition, you must submit a video featuring individuals 18 years of age or younger, presenting or explaining a health-related topic. Here are a few topic examples, but don’t feel obligated to select one from the list – free up your creativity and come up with your own! We want YOUR ideas!
Write a story with pictures about a character who ends up in the hospital and what all they have to do to get home healthy. Read that story and show the pictures in your video.
Write a letter to someone in the hospital with advice and helpful tips.
Pick a system in the body (i.e. cardiovascular) and explain how it works.
Use any form of arts or crafts (drawing, playdough modeling, singing, acting, etc.) to explain how to stay healthy.
Any and all other ideas you and your team dreams up!
ACCEPTABLE FORMATS. You can submit one or more video files. The videos do not need to be of a professional quality, and could be recorded with your mobile device. While horizontal videos are preferred, vertical videos are also acceptable.
